Dr. Yijie Geng’s lab at the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences has an outstanding opportunity for a Research Technologist 1 to join their team. The Geng lab studies social behavior and autism spectrum disorder using zebrafish as their main research model. The lab also uses mouse and cell culture as additional models. The research technologist will work under general direction of Dr. Geng to support the Geng lab’s zebrafish and mouse colonies, as well as conduct molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, zebrafish, and mouse experiments and procedures as instructed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
MIMIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Two years experience as a Laboratory Technician II, or equivalent; OR a Bachelors Degree in an appropriate field of science or technology.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
