Research Associate I Jobs

The Huang Lab is seeking a Research Associate I in the domain of “cancer cell systems biology.” The Huang Lab bridges the domains of theory, computation and molecular/cell biology to unravel the fundamental principles behind cancer. We use simple human cell cultures in atypical ways and perform new types of single-cell resolution analyses (scRNAseq, barcode-based tracing) in the context of dynamical systems theory. Required Education, Skills & Experience

• One or more years of directly-related laboratory work experience (may be obtained during course of undergraduate studies) with solid knowledge of molecular biology (recombinant DNA technology, gene sequencing, transcriptomics)
• Broadly skilled in, or has strong inclination for quantitative analyses (graphing of results, applying basic statistics
• Experience with, or ability to gain proficiency of lab software and tools required to complete work
• Ability to complete all required safety and regulatory training prior to starting work
• A Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, microbiology, or related field in a life or data science discipline

Preferred Education, Skills & Experience

• Experience with mammalian cell cultures
• Knowledge of cancer biology
• Computer programming skills

Pay Range

$19.19 - 29.56 per hour
