Research Associate Ii/Sr. Research Associate (In Vivo)

Position located in Cambridge, MA

Responsibilities of the RA II/Sr. RA (In Vivo):

• Execute and/or troubleshoot diverse assays – physiological, behavioral, or tissue-based - perform relevant analysis, document all experimental details and results.
• Establish and quantify readouts for in vivo efficacy, biodistribution, and other effects of dosed articles in animal models.
• Work with team members to regularly update electronic lab notebook (ELN) prepare high quality reports and scientific presentations.
• Will perform qPCR and execute assays for DNA/RNA quantification.
• Perform surgical procedures on animal models using multiple dosing routes.

Requirements of the RA II/Sr. RA (In Vivo):

• Proficient in rodent handling, experimentation, dosing (IV, IP, PO), blood collection, and tissue harvesting.
• Candidates with experience in post-hoc procedures including tissue extraction, embedding and processing, immunohistochemistry (IHC), protein/nucleic acid extractions and/or PCR based methods (e.g., qPCR, ddpCR) will be preferred.
• BS/MS in Molecular/Cellular Biology, or a related Life Science discipline, with 2+ years in vivo experience.
• Hands-on experience working with rodent animal models (mouse or rat).
