Job Description
Looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Research Associate to work in the basic science Orthopaedic Surgery Laboratory.
Projects include cartilage biology, mechanobiology, and response to injury.
Previous laboratory experience with cell culture, qPCR, Western blot, and confocal microscopy is a must. Willing to learn other techniques.
Background in Cell Biology or Molecular Biology is required. Background or experience in Bioengineering is a plus.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Expected to work independently or with minimum training. Background in musculoskeletal tissues is not required.
Directly reports to the Principal Investigator. Expected to generate data for grants and papers, co-author publications, perform general laboratory maintenance and purchasing reagents.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree with at least 3 years of experience or Master’s Degree with 1 year of relevant experience.
