The Research Assistant (Term) is part of the Electrical and Computer Engineering at Vanderbilt University School of Engineering.
The position will assist the Principal Investigator with technical and program activities by facilitating the technical progress of the project(s). As the technical success of projects is part of the responsibility of this position, the position will participate in and coordinate the collaborative review of the deliverables. They will assist with tracking and maintenance of compliance.
NOTE: A Term position is a staff position that exists for a period longer than six months but is not expected to last beyond one year. Although a position may exist for a specified or indefinite period, staff who accept term positions are not guaranteed employment for the entire period; they are employed for indefinite periods within the limit of the appointment. There are no guarantees of continued employment, either within the term or when the term ends.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Other tasks as assigned
- Support infrastructure hardware
- Support computer system software
- Implement and support quality assurance protocols
- Implement and support correlative analysis of data quality with confounding factors
- Perform statistical data analysis on imaging data and image-derived computed measures
Qualifications
- Experience with imaging data is preferred
- Experience with statistical data analysis is strongly preferred
- Bachelors of Science (or equivalent) in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field is necessary
