Our Education Systems team is dedicated to studying and supporting educational organizations and infrastructures at the local, state, and national levels, focusing on the individuals who drive PK-12 education systems. We aim to enhance the organization of schooling and promote advancement within these systems.
Responsibilities
As a Research Assistant, your role will involve:
Conducting thorough literature reviews to bolster projects and proposals.
Analyzing both quantitative and qualitative research data, contributing to the reporting and interpretation of findings.
Facilitating communication with school and district leaders.
Developing spreadsheets and databases to facilitate project activities.
Offering support in new business and proposal development by researching funding opportunities, conducting literature reviews, and contributing to proposal sections.
Assisting the team in identifying and developing scholarly materials that articulate research discoveries.
Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in education or related social science fields such as psychology, sociology, or public policy.
Familiarity with data collection and analysis methodologies, including survey design, structured interviews, observations, and focus groups.
Experience with or an eagerness to learn software tools like NVivo, R, or Stata for data analysis (preferred but not mandatory).
Skills
Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to writing with precision.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Exceptional organizational and time management capabilities.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and projects concurrently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent software for word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations.
Comfort working independently and collaboratively within diverse teams.
