Reporting Analyst Jobs

The Reporting Analyst uses professional concepts and organizational objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Provides support to the Associate Director of Finance and Administration as well as the Department’s 23 units.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Finance, the Reporting Analyst is a key member of UDAR’s Finance Team and will be responsible for reporting, reconciliations, and financial analysis in addition to providing key support to the Associate Director of Finance and the Department’s 23 units.
The ideal candidate will be organized, adaptable, proactive, responsive and possess strong interpersonal skills necessary to successfully communicate (written and verbally) in a professional manner with a diverse customer base. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage and balance numerous deadlines, shifting priorities with a variety of stakeholders with professionalism and poise.

Please note: The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.

For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.

• Ability to gather reasonably retrievable information to organize, and perform basic financial analysis assignments
• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
• Demonstrated ability using spreadsheet and database software for moderately complex financial analysis, fiscal management, and financial reports
• 1+ years related work experience
• Working knowledge of finance policies, practices, and systems
• Ability to function as a member of a team
• Demonstrated ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing clearly and concisely
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills at all levels within the unit, excellent service orientation and critical thinking skills; and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability using organizational skills to multi-task in a high-volume environment
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities

• Intermediate knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
