Relationship Manager – CPA Channel and Alliances (Seattle - Pacific Northwest)

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a strategic Relationship Manager focused on Channel Sales within the Seattle - Pacific Northwest at ABGi, you will report to a National Manager and be focused on developing and expanding an assigned territory within the CPA networks. As a subject matter expert in tax credits and incentives, you will be the face to ABGi and partner with CPAs as a knowledge leader to their clients to generate referrals. On a recurring basis, you will partner with marketing to lead CPE’s, webinars, attend industry events locally, regionally, and nationally related to tax and tax credits while also networking with industry leaders. You will build a market network of CPAs, lobby leaders, and partnerships that will provide leads and introductions that return in ROI to ABGi. This is a remote position based on the Seattle and Pacific Northwest territory and requires 40 to 50% travel locally and regionally. Onboarding is based in Houston, Texas.


A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Actively be responsible for producing and hitting monthly revenue targets as part of the business development team.
  • Continue to market and service new CPA’s and build out existing CPA relationships by producing related tax content and find non-traditional methods to provide new value.
  • Actively manage a full territory from identification, prospecting, to referral and partnership with Sr. Sales Directors in producing qualified referrals from the CPA Channels and qualified Channel Partners.
  • Build and manage a full portfolio of CPA’s through both in-person and virtual meetings with a focus on the mid-market and enterprise, with quarterly meetings.
  • Actively produce cold calling campaigns, email campaigns, in-person visits, webinars, partner with marketing, attend networking events and all other revenue generating activity to produce referrals that lead to a close.
  • Act as an ambassador in the CPA partner channel, representing ABGi as a professional specialty tax consultant by producing related content, attending industry events, producing CLE’s and being a trusted partner.
  • Continually report on territory metrics while working in Salesforce and partner with other business development team and sales support as needed.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills
  • Previous experience with channel sales and partnership sales is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, Accounting, Engineering, Economics, or other related degree from an accredited university is required.
  • Must have experience working within a sales related CRM – Salesforce is preferred.
  • Ability to travel locally, regionally and to industry events
  • Experience selling or partnering in the CPA industry highly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 plus years’ experience in a business development and/or sales background with a focus in a professional services selling environment.
  • Must have experience in B2B sales.
