Job Description

Recruiting Coordinator

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administers background checks.
  • Schedules interviews and communicates with candidates on interview details.
  • Conducts employment-related research and assists Recruiting Manager with electronic and other methods of sourcing of qualified candidates.
  • Performs customized screening and initial contact of applicants of assigned positions to determine qualifications and interest level.
  • Builds rapport with hiring managers.
  • Administers appropriate assessments, as required by position.
  • Provides information about Tandem Health and career opportunities to potential applicants.
  • Assists with the Applicant Tracking System and external Job Boards to ensure information, job postings, and workflow status are up-to-date.
  • Refers appropriate candidates to Recruiting Manager and/or hiring manager.
  • Serves as point of contact for students requesting a preceptor.
  • Represents and promotes the organization to potential applicants by providing information, responding to questions, and collecting applicant data.
  • Conducts references on applicants.
  • Provides coordination of recruitment projects and related services to the hiring managers and Human Resources team.
  • Develops and maintains comprehensive knowledge of recruitment, employment, benefits, and other related organizational policies, practices, procedures, and/or regulations.
  • Attends and participates in job fairs, community activities, and other public and departmental recruitment-related events.
  • Assists with application/resume filing and retention according to organization policy.
  • Participates in and provides analytical support in design, development, and implementation of recruitment projects and programs.
  • Carefully reviews applications and identifies the most qualified candidates for assigned positions and forwards to the hiring manager.
  • Assists with preparing offer letters and other candidate communication.
  • Ensures students have provided the appropriate forms prior to attending student orientation
  • Participates on select committees and special projects, as needed.
  • Schedules and assists with student orientation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Participates in departmental meetings and attends other meetings and seminars, as required.
  • Maintains confidentiality of applicant, employee and student information.
  • Responds to requests from approved programs for student rotations, schedules rotations with preceptors, and completes required paperwork prior to student orientation

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) with four (4) to five (5) years of relevant human resources experience required, OR
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in a related field and two (2) to three (3) years of experience in Human Resources with healthcare recruitment strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally and regionally.
