POSITION TITLE: Receptionist
LOCATION: Ottawa County District Attorney Office - Miami
STATUS: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Immediate Opening
CLOSING: Open Until Filled
SALARY: $25,000 – $27,000 annually
BENEFITS: Full State of Oklahoma benefits, including generous monthly allowance for health coverage, paid sick and vacation leave earned monthly. Paid holidays.
POSITION SUMMARY: The receptionist shall work under the direction of the Lead Advocate/Training Coordinator. The receptionist will greet visitors, answer phones, enter information into Justware, assist in preparing files for court. We are looking for candidates with sound work ethic and an interest in public service.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Serves visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately
Answering phones and routing calls as necessary
Comply with all procedures, rules and regulations
Enter required data into Justware
Sorting and distributing mail, receive deliveries
Maintain the general office filing system
Assist with a variety of administrative tasks including copying, faxing, etc.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High-School Diploma or equivalent.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Telephone and interpersonal skills
Strong verbal and written communication. Computer skills
Professionalism
Organization. Comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks without guidance
Time management. Read and interpret various job-related documents and instructions.
Pass a criminal background check
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include the ability to see close, at a distance
