Job Description

Work With Purpose

At Five Star Senior Living, our people are the critical link to those we serve, and it is their vitality, energy, and caring nature that allows us to fulfill our mission of enriching and inspiring the journey of life. In addition to nurturing and advancing the lives of our residents, our team members enjoy meaningful opportunities for personal and professional growth, within a supportive culture centered around advancing their lives, as well.

The Opportunity

A Receptionist in our community provides a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who enters. In addition to greeting guests, vendors, or anyone arriving, a Receptionist is responsible for maintaining visitor logs and communicating with visitors and those they are looking to visit with. A Receptionist will also answer calls, route phone calls, provide information about the community, and assist with all inquiries made. A Receptionist is the first face people see entering our community and has the privilege of setting the tone for every visit.

What You’ll Do

Engagement

  • Answer phone calls or emails professionally and in a timely manner
  • Determine a guest/visitors need(s) quickly and direct them where to go
  • Initiate a welcome and inviting greeting for everyone in the community

Communication

  • Escalate issues, minor or urgent, to those who need to know.
  • Ensure visitor logs, ID badges, and any security measures are followed by anyone within the community
  • Provide details about guests, their visitation, the community and safety precautions during their visit

What You’ll Bring

Experience & Education

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, ability to create and organize documents
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-year experience as a receptionist or similar, in a call-center, or administrative environment

Resourcefulness

  • Proven ability to take initiative with tasks, especially with safety and sanitation
  • Compassion and caring nature, showing a strong desire to provide comfort to guests/residents
  • Working effectiveness for organization, with supplies, work areas, files and electronic files.

We Got You

We see and support the whole you. Because investing in you, and all our team members, is the first step in making a difference in the lives of others.

  • Life, Disability & other supplemental benefits
  • Wellness Coaching & Personal Support Benefits
  • 401k + Match
  • Comprehensive Medical/Dental/Vision
  • Competitive PTO
  • Recognition & Reward Programs
  • Professional Development Funds

Is This You?

Beyond checking off the boxes, we’re looking for someone who shares our deep sense of purpose and passion for advancing the lives of others.

  • Results Oriented – You’re forward thinking, seeing the big picture as you lead with empathy and drive to exceed results. You firmly believe that the way in which we achieve results is just as important as what we accomplish together.
  • Embraces Change – You’re a change driver! A positive communicator who engages all key stakeholders to help them anticipate and embrace what’s next, you’re always adjusting the target for continuous improvement.
  • Puts People First – You have an authentic connection to our vision of a world in which the quality of life is ageless, and a desire to advance our culture by always respecting and empowering our team members, residents, and families.
  • Customer Focused – You strive to build and strengthen customer loyalty by delivering exceptional hospitality, thoughtful solutions, and innovative customer attraction and retention strategies.
  • Drives Operational Excellence – You encourage a mindset of continuous improvement. You respect ideas, collaborate, and empower others to elevate how and what we deliver for our customers and each other.
