An electronic trading systematic hedge fund in NY is seeking a Quantitative Trader in their growing single equity options trading team. This is a fast track opportunity that will be report into a newly appointed Head of Trading in a new team. Work on projects across the international trading space; design, build and manage profitable trading strategies; and manage risk for Equity Option trading.

If successful, join as a Quantitative Trader in the growing Equity Options trading team at this systematic trading firm. The desk is very well capitalised and will focus on the whole spectrum of international equity trading. The firm is looking for motivated, ambitious individuals from any asset class who have experience in a quantitative / systematic environment who want to be part of an exciting opportunity. The individual will have a lot of flexibility and autonomy to generate PnL.

Responsibilities:

• Help develop risk management framework
• Manage risk, and ensure optimal execution of trading strategies
• Research, develop and implement systematic trading strategies
• Build and develop a diversified systematic Equity Options portfolio
• Lead the design of monitors / signals / limits

Experience Required:

• Very comfortable using Python
• A background in equities or options is desirable but not strictly necessary
• Trading/ Research experience in any asset class where quant/systematic techniques are used
• Quantitative background
• Experience working in a hedge fund, prop trading firm, investment bank or trading on own account
• B.S./M.S. from a leading university in a quantitative discipline such as math, physics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or economics
