About this Position:
Responsible for utilizing Business Objects and related systems (QICS (Quality Information Control System)) to establish consistent quality reports to properly represent the quality issues and support departments in usage of data. Establish and maintain the QICS system infrastructure. Support Division Manager and Department Leads with Business planning and special project leadership. Main MAP (Marysville Auto Plant) liaison to NAQ (North American Quality) & other plants regarding quality data & QICS system changes. Rotation of PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Action) & vision to improve quality reporting and systems.
Responsibilities include:
- CREATE AND MAINTAIN REPORTING FOR PLANT KPI’S (KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS) (DAILY, WEEKLY AND MONTHLY)
- SUPPORT THE UTILIZATION OF THE QICS DATA TO COMPLETE PDCA ON KEY ITEMS
- TRAINING TO DEPARTMENTS AS NEEDED ON QICS MAINTENANCE
- PREPARATION OF DAILY RESULTS FOR MANAGER’S MEETING AND WPMM (WEEKLY PLANT MANAGER MEETING).
- MONTHLY BUSINESS PLAN REPORT SUPPORT.
- GENERAL QUALITY DIVISION BUSINESS PLAN SUPPORT.
- REPORTING MONTHLY TO PLANNING AND STRATEGY ON KPI’S
- LEAD SPECIAL PROJECTS AS NEEDED. (FSI (FUNDAMENTAL STRUCTURAL INNOVATION) FOR EXAMPLE).
- WEEKLY QUALITY DIVISION PRIORITY REPORT PREP.
- ESTABLISH AND MAKE UPDATES ON QICS SYSTEM, FOCUSED ON MODEL, SCREEN AND DEFECT SELECTION OPTIONS FOR ALL DEPARTMENTS
Who we are seeking:
Required Work Experience:
- 8-12 YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
- DESIGN ENGINEERING (DEVELOPING PLANS & IMPLEMENTATION) AND QUALITY SYSTEMS BACKGROUND IN MANUFACTURING PREFERRED.
- QUALITY SYSTEM BACKGROUND IN MANUFACTURING
Required Education:
- BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN ENGINEERING OR EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Desired Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Project management skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of engineering principles as it relates to areas of Quality.
- High-impact communication skills
Additional Position Factors:
- OT necessary to complete task deadline for Quality Reporting
- Travel may be necessary for training & meeting with other Mfg. facilities
