We are expanding to bring in fulfillment and kitting operations into our Lewisville, Texas site.

In your role as Quality Manager , you will be the quality leader for all fulfillment and kitting operations at the Lewisville site. You’ll work cross-functionally with our Operations, Product Development, Supply Chain, and Customer Support teams to ensure and maintain high quality within our medical devices. Initially, you will be responsible for conducting all QC inspections (incoming inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections), leading and executing onsite quality systems such as Change Control, CAPA, Nonconformances, and Deviations, and assessing onsite expansion opportunities with Operations and Supply Chain functions. Over time, you will build and lead an onsite quality team while also leading projects to maintain and improve quality. This individual will collaborate with all levels, building partnerships to further the refinement of short and long-term Quality objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of quality assurance at the manufacturing site
  • Execute all QC inspections (incoming inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections) for fulfillment and kitting operations
  • Work closely with Operations and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure high quality in manufacturing processes
  • Identify, measure, monitor, and improve (as necessary) Quality metrics
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to direct reports, if applicable
  • Collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) on quality-related issues (e.g. SCARs) from suppliers
  • Contribute to company-wide initiatives and/or improvement projects
  • Travel domestically or internationally 2 to 3 times per year
  • Partner with R&D and Design Quality teams as part of NPD launches, design changes, and design transfers
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Oversee and execute CAPA and Nonconformance processes for Operations Quality
  • Assess risk in manufacturing processes using tools such as PFMEA
  • Establish and maintain calibration, preventive maintenance, and validation programs
  • Apply sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving Quality issues
  • Ensure robust processes are in place to detect nonconformances, including incoming inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection
  • Oversee and execute Material Review Board (MRB), including product disposition
  • Support customer complaint investigations, as required

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of Quality experience in the medical device industry
  • Enthusiasm for teamwork and collaboration, with limited supervision
  • Management experience preferred
  • Ability to manage competing demands, with the ability to change approach or method to best fit the situation
  • Experience with process validation
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills required, including the ability to communicate clearly, succinctly, and effectively remotely and in writing
  • Knowledge of medical device design controls, design transfer, and process validation
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work environments, new priorities, new instructions, delays, or unexpected events
  • Experience in interacting with Notified Bodies and Regulatory agencies, including FDA preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with ISO 14971
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment, build rapport and influence decisions across all levels of the organization
  • Passion for finding new, innovative, non-traditional methods for accomplishing goals
  • Ability to strictly follow policies and procedures when required, while also knowing when to think outside the box
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems including: 21 CFR 820 and ISO 13485
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • Drive to meet deadlines and achieve or exceed goals and expectations

The base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $105,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for performance bonus, RSU’s, and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2023 . Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
