Information Analyst - Kroger (Remote Eligible)

OVERVIEW

As an Information analyst working on the Kroger business, you will provide the region with analytical support through reporting and process standardization and simplification. You will work across all General Mills (GMI) businesses and be focused on generating actionable reports and foundational insights to support region distribution, shelving, merchandising and pricing decisions at Kroger.

In this role you will use Kroger data systems (84.51, Market6, IRI) to build and distribute region reports that will be used by the sales teams and Operating Units (OU’s) for managing and driving their respective businesses. You will also use Kroger planograms to determine shelving and distribution opportunities.

Qualified candidates will demonstrate a strong operating knowledge of the Kroger data systems and be able to generate actionable reports for all GMI categories.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Update and maintain Distribution Grids
• Create and develop JBP meeting template for KLT and update on a regular basis
• Complete ad hoc requests from the sales teams and Operating Units in an accurate and timely manner
• Create and lead the development of new reports and make enhancements to existing reports as needed to address current business needs
• Create and develop market share reporting from IRI for key businesses
• Analyze business trend questions for the Kroger Leadership Team (KLT) for Top-to-Top, JBP and other key Kroger meetings
• Serve as region expert on pulling and understanding key drivers from customer and internal data sources
  • Become primary region resource for 84.51, Market6 and IRI
• Support ad hoc requests for category strategy work and customer engagements as needed by the Catman team by providing appropriate reports and key insights
• Manage weekly 84.51, Market6 and IRI reporting
• Update Monthly Distribution Tracker
• Incorporate GMI and Kroger product hierarchies in files and upload to application on a regular basis
• Become primary region resource for 84.51, Market6 and IRI
• Update 84.51 product attribute files on a regular basis as instructed by manager
• Create and deliver region reporting utilizing 84.51, Market6 and IRI (Sales POS, Supplier Budgets, Competitive Market Share, Shopper Behavior Analysis)
  • Manage weekly 84.51, Market6 and IRI reporting
  • Create and develop market share reporting from IRI for key businesses
  • Create and develop JBP meeting template for KLT and update on a regular basis
  • Create and lead the development of new reports and make enhancements to existing reports as needed to address current business needs
  • Update Monthly Distribution Tracker

• Assist with region product attribution process across the data platforms
  • Update 84.51 product attribute files on a regular basis as instructed by manager

• Ability to analyze business trends in an ad hoc or iterative nature quickly and efficiently
  • Analyze business trend questions for the Kroger Leadership Team (KLT) for Top-to-Top, JBP and other key Kroger meetings
  • Support ad hoc requests for category strategy work and customer engagements as needed by the Catman team by providing appropriate reports and key insights

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry
• Strong analytical skills and experience aggregating internal and external data (e.g., Nielsen/IRI, 84.51, POS data) and building actionable reports
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint)
• Bachelor’s degree
• Strong interest in data analytics and reporting and ability to manage large amounts of data

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Relocation to Cincinnati, OH
• Proficient in the use of shelf management software (ie. JDA)
• Corporate or field sales experience working with cross-functional partners
• Experience and working knowledge of Kroger data systems (84.51, Market6, IRI)
• Prior experience working with Kroger and/or prior category management experience
