JOB SUMMARY:
The Quality Improvement Specialist will be responsible for coordinating the organization’s continuous quality improvement (CQI) efforts and will serve as the organization’s subject matter expert for CQI workflows and processes. The individual occupying this role will partner with internal and external stakeholders to maintain a QI program that is efficient, innovative, outcome based, and promotes principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Quality Improvement Specialist will:
- Oversee ad hoc and recurring stakeholder feedback efforts
- Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain role-specific certifications
- Assist with departmental projects, as needed, to support and promote the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic plan
- Review and update the QI and DEI policies and plans annually
- Partner with the training department to provide employee training and development around DEI
- Bring insight, raise awareness, and prioritize DEI in the QI process
- Track and report the effectiveness of QI initiatives to QI program participants, agency leadership, and other stakeholders
- Coordinate the implementation of initiatives originating from the QI program
- Serve as the Chair of the Steering Committee and standing member of the DEI Committee
- Provide guidance and technical assistance regarding the CQI cycle to employees and other stakeholders who are direct participants in the QI program
- Provide technical assistance and consultation to departments, committees, and team members on issues of DEI, as needed, in the execution of duties, processes, and initiatives
- Assist with preparation for accreditation, fidelity monitoring, and quality-focused reviews; and supports resulting quality improvement efforts, as assigned
- Ensure timely completion and communication of quality improvement measures
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- One to Two years in a similar role in a human services or behavioral health organization
- Willingness to pursue DEI certification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Public Administration, or related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Public Administration, or related field. Two or more years in a similar role in a human services or behavioral health organization
- DEI Certification
