Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required with experience in Quality Improvement preferred. Bachelor’s degree in human resources field preferred. Valid driver’s license and meet agency underwriting standards.

As a Quality Improvement Specialist, you will direct, administer and coordinate the activities of the organization in support of the policies, goals, and objectives established by the agency Board of Directors. Performs the following duties directly or through subordinate managers.

  • Reviews weekly and monthly reports in the various departments to determine if trends are occurring which need to be addressed.
  • Ensures Case files are maintained in proper order and according to accreditation and contract requirements.
  • Completes internal investigations/reviews and specialized audits as requested according to Agency procedures.
  • Responsible for the Quality Assurance functions of the Agency.
  • Requests and monitors Corrective Action Plans (CAPS) from administrative or program department with the Agency when needed. Works collaboratively with program designees on writing corrective action plans that are requested from other private and public agencies.
  • Coordinates and participates (when applicable) in the accreditations processes, annual administrative reviews, licensing, and provider reviews.
  • Track required data and complete reports on a variety of Quality Assurance and Program Improvement subjects.
  • Maintains a working relationship with public and private agencies involved in providing contracted services.
  • Prepares Quarterly and Year to Date Summary Reports.
  • Coordinates community resources for the benefit of children served by Agency programs, as requested.
  • Attends forums, workshops, and conferences in areas related to quality improvement and contract requirements.
  • Ensures reports are completed timely and ensures reports provide quality information in a reader friendly manner.
  • Participates in meetings with Agency and State Agency staff concerning Quality Assurance and Program Improvement.
  • Coordinates with Agency service, program, and administrative supervisors and/or managers/directors on concerns related to audits of case files.
  • Ensures all required internal audits and reviews are completed.
  • Will be required to drive personal or agency vehicle while conducting agency business. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must meet agency underwriting standards while driving agency vehicles and/or transporting clients.
