Quality Assurance (Qa) Engineer

Hexagon is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to ensure the quality of our global Public Safety software. The HxGN OnCall application suite includes web-based solutions that provide call taking, dispatching, situational awareness, records management, mobile, and analytics capabilities.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Design, create and implement automation tests in various toolsets such as Selenium / Playwright.
• Work with cross-functional teams for testing fixes
• Log, track, and verify defects concisely.
• Collaborate with Development team to improve quality and performance of applications.

Qualifications

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize/manage time.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Passionate to learn new technologies and support enterprise goals.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related technical discipline
• Ability to review and query SQL databases
• Experience in creating Test Cases, Test Plans and Performing all aspects of smoke test, functional, system, and regression tests.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to step up in a fast-paced environment and be accountable.

• Typescript/JavaScript (required)
• Jira/AZDO board usage and understanding.
• A strong understanding of QA Methodologies with 5 plus years experience in both Manual and Automation Testing, preferably for the Public Safety sector.
• Highly motivated with ability to work independently as well as a strong team player.
• Scripting Technology
• Knowledge of Scrum/Agile and Software Test LifeCycle (STLC).
• 4 years Automation experience writing automated tests.
