Job Description

Dream Team Partners is partnered with one of the nation’s leading metal stamping automotive parts manufacturers. Due to growth, they are looking to hire a Quality Engineer to ensure the overall quality of manufactured products. The Quality Engineer will test processes, monitor quality standards, create documentation, devise quality tests, and define the criteria a test result should meet.


Responsibilities:

  • Promote quality achievement and performance improvement.
  • Develop part/process level quality assurance system (PFMEA, PQCT/Control Plans, Work Instructions).
  • Ensure product compliance with Customer Standards.
  • Investigate and respond to customer concerns (HTR) including containment management, root cause analysis, and countermeasure validation.
  • Review and update PQCT/PFMEA/Work Instructions.
  • Conformity and compliance with IATF16949:2016, 4M Change Point Control procedures, and other processes and procedures.
  • Conduct work observations.
  • Perform Poka Yoke verification and error-proofing analysis.
  • Verify parts quality.
  • Provide training and promote compliance.
  • Support quality activities with customers and suppliers.
  • Conduct process validation activities (gauge studies/process capability studies, etc).
  • Defect prevention analysis and addressing in-process defects.
  • Review and improve processes.


Reports/Presentations Required:

  • Monthly Quality Reporting
  • Poka Yoke diagnosis results

Qualifications:

  • Ability to interact professionally with staff internally and externally.
  • Proficiency in mathematics and statistical concepts.
  • Strong reasoning ability.
  • Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent, or two years of related experience and/or training.
  • Strong language skills, including reading, analyzing, and interpreting complex documents.
  • Proficiency in math, statistics, and geometric tolerance (GD&T).
  • Mentoring capability for the quality department.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
