Quality Engineer Jobs

We have a expanding manufacturing location in the Mobile, AL area seeking to add a Quality Engineer to the team. This person will work on-site with the engineering team working in a manufacturing environment with various processes, like machining, cutting, bending, welding, assembly etc... and will work with the QMS system, ISO Standards, ASME standards, auditing, inspecting etc...

Responsibilities:

• Provides direction and training to QC Techs and others involved in inspection and testing activities
• Identifies deficient areas and improves quality processes for increased efficiency and reduction of factory escapes. Performs statistical analysis of production processes
• Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and performs internal audits - and training - to ensure continuing compliance with quality standards, like ISO 9001
• Reviews supplier performance data to improve quality of purchased materials
• Leads investigation, & resolution of product and process non-conformance and helps determine corrective actions
• Take part in continuous improvement initiatives, helps with problem solving and helps determine root cause analysis.

Qualifications:

• BS in Engineering. (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing etc...)
• 2+ years experience in a similar role / environment.

**We will also considered candidates with 3+ years of specific Quality Experience no degree. Other Qualifications:

• Able to read blue-prints.
• Experience in process improvement, supplier quality assurance, welding cells, destructive and non-destructive testing, and supervision are a plus.
• Fundamental knowledge of calibration of measurement devices.
• Certified Quality Engineer is highly desirable, but not required. .
