Job Summary: We are looking for a Quality Engineer to monitor and improve the quality of our operational processes and outputs. The quality engineer's responsibilities include designing quality standards, inspecting materials, equipment, processes, and products, developing quality control systems, and determining corrective actions. You will also work with managers and supervisors to implement quality measures. A successful quality engineer should have excellent troubleshooting skills and be able to ensure that processes and products consistently meet established quality standards.
Key Responsibilities: The following responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- PPAP creation and submission.
- Train and guide Quality Technicians
- Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements internally as well as externally
- Monitoring and analyzing quality performance.
- Developing and implementing quality standards.
- Reviewing codes, specifications, and processes.
- Developing and implementing quality control systems.
- Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
- Perform failure analysis and root cause analysis to problem solve product issues
- Ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations.
- Investigating and troubleshooting product or operations issues.
- Collaborating with Operations, Engineering, and customer contacts to develop and implement controls and improvements.
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Quality, Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Electrical Engineering degree preferred
- ASQ certification preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent project management skills Proven experience in strategic planning and thinking.
- Experience coding and using QA software tools and processes.
- 2+ years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role.
- Experience in change management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in risk management.
- 2+ years of experience in electric vehicle (EV) industry preferred
- Experience in communication and negotiations with customers and suppliers.
