Job Description
The Quality Assurance Nurse, is responsible for ensuring and improving the quality of patient care and healthcare processes. The QA nurse will work closely with Associate VP of Nurse Practitioners, and Clinical Area Managers to assess compliance with standards, identify areas for improvement, and implement quality improvement initiatives. The QA Nurse plays a vital role in promoting patient safety, enhancing clinical outcomes, and maintaining regulatory compliance.


Responsibilities:


  • Evaluating and reporting compliance rates on a quarterly basis
  • Conduct audits and reviews of healthcare processes, clinical documentation, and patient records to assess compliance with standards and regulations
  • Ensures policies and procedures are followed with the documentation review of the clinicians
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives, policies, and procedures to enhance patient care and safety
  • Participate in data gathering, workflow documentation and process/practice redesign efforts
  • Ensure documentation is complete and consistent with care and reflects legal requirement
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and interdisciplinary teams to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans
Qualifications:


  • Registered Nurse (RN) with current, unrestricted license in Indiana
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and managing a wide range of quality projects
  • Experience demonstrating ability to work well with minimal supervision and on a team
  • Minimum of 3 years clinical practice experience performing medical record review
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and quality improvement methodologies
