About the Position
The role of the Quality Assurance Coordinator is to assist in managing the site quality management system and ensure that processes and procedures are developed in line with applicable standards and customer requirements. The Quality Assurance Coordinator will serve as an educator to the existing operational personnel on quality management system requirements. The role will also support and assess the implementation of the Kenco Operating System as it relates to quality assurance.
Functions
  • Assist in maintaining, updating, and adding as necessary site policies, procedures, standard work instructions, and tools to improve the efficacy of the food safety and quality management system.
  • Collect and compile statistical quality data and analyze to identify areas for improvement to the quality management system.
  • Assist in identifying training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards.
  • Assist in Investigating customer complaints and non-conformance issues and perform root cause and corrective action investigations to improve the food safety and quality management system.
  • Assist with the internal audit program to ensure compliance to the food safety and quality management system through training auditors, auditing processes and procedures, and measuring results.

Qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience with ISO 9001:2015, GFSI standards or AIB GMPs, and FDA FSMA and Bioterrorism Act or similar food/feed safety experience preferred.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a quality assurance/control role
  • Internal Auditor experience preferred
  • A High School Diploma is required. Some college experience preferred.
