Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Participate in driving continuous improvement
- Coordinate HACCP team
- Verification off CCP records and frequencies
- Responsible for verification of lab activities (Eg- sampling, testing, plating, reading, and recording product test results)
- Maintain and implement policies and procedures including training relating to GMPs, Food Safety, and regulatory compliance
- Data Entry, tracking, and interpretation
- Must be able to demonstrate an ability and willingness to communicate effectively to maintain high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Equipment calibration and troubleshooting
- Ensure that daily records are kept and maintained
- Follow-up customer complaints and correspond with other team members
- Maintain & update standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Must meet with supervisor daily covering any issues associated with Quality Assurance
- Will assist in the discipline to maintain a 5-S rating of an "A"
- Following QC Hold Procedures for out-of-specification products
Minimum Qualifications :
- Degree in food science or related scientific field OR 3 years experience in quality assurance in a production environment.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Strong skills Working knowledge of MS applications including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, - PowerPoint and ability to grasp additional business-related applications.
- Strong leadership background – ability to direct a diverse unionized workforce
- Ability to adapt effectively within a continually changing and demanding environment.
- Demonstrate ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and duties as they relate to food safety and regulatory compliance.
- Availability – willingness to work flexible hours and holidays
