We are growing and looking for a Quality Assurance Control Intern to help with our customer base quality and compliance requirements.
This role will be joining the API Delevan team in East Aurora, NY.
API DELEVAN is an electronics manufacturer of Inductors, Radio Frequency coils, chokes, transformers and resolvers with a strong brand for nearly 70 years, and the only manufacturer in the world with Mil-PRF-39010 Level ‘S’ accreditation. U.S. citizen or permanent resident status is required due to ITAR restrictions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Along with those identified below, other duties may be assigned.
- Communicate with multiple departments needed to fulfill compliance requests
- Originate and maintain regulation and compliance system for continued use after internship position
- Interpret compliance regulations and standards
- Coordinate with production control and operations to obtain test parts and to ensure compliance with delivery needs.
- Review & understand customer & regulation requirements
- Document results of analysis and measurements performed for partial or finished goods
- Preparation of customer reports and certificates of conformance
- Support multiple projects simultaneously
- Handle all compliance requests for both magnetics and resolver product lines for the following regulations: REACH SVHC latest regulation, EU ROHS latest regulation, PROP65, China ROHS, PBT Declaration & others as necessary
- Set up & operate various inspection, testing & measurement equipment
- Communication with customers and raw material suppliers on conformance requirements necessary
- Support quality team in compliance priorities and day to day operation, including preparation & maintenance of schedules to meet delivery for requirements
Job Requirements:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Must possess a basic understanding of electricity and electrical quantities, such as current, voltage, etc.…
- Experience with various test/lab equipment
- Must have experience with computers & be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Must have good eyesight and hand eye coordination
- Familiarity with ISO9001 and/or AS9100 Quality System requirements a plus
- High School education or GED equivalent; Technical Associates Degree preferred
