Job Description

Provide quality oversight of company processes, policies, and procedures through the use of internal monitors / audits. Conduct assessments through analysis and interpretation of objective evidence to ensure compliance with established standards in accordance with company and customer contractual requirements. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, successful candidates will spend approximately 80% of their time evaluating system effectiveness across all functional areas. Occasional travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites will be required. The remaining 20% of the candidate s time will include technical review and editing of company policies, procedures, and work instructions as required. The candidate will be responsible for promoting quality throughout the organization by maintaining a corporate culture that emphasizes accountability, discipline, and attention to detail at all levels. Candidate must possess the ability to solve complex problems, provide operable solutions, act with minimal direction on their own initiative, and be adaptable as they will work on a variety of continuous improvement initiatives in support of the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promote a culture of continuous process improvement
  • Independently and objectively plan and execute audits in accordance with professional auditing standards
  • Establish, track, analyze, & report on key quality metrics to meet quality requirements within the contract
  • Maintain a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards
  • Investigate and review customer issues or complaints and work with staff for professional resolution
  • Perform or support Internal audits and special projects, with emphasis on corporate internal audits
  • Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and a consistently high level of performance
  • Domestic and International travel required
  • Effectively interact with and communicate results to auditees, audit management, business unit management and Corporate executive management
  • Assist in the preparation of Internal Audit reports which include formal recommendations to the business for review and implementation
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret audit performance data to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures
  • Assist management in defining and maintaining an effective and efficient quality program
  • Evaluate work products to assess quality and report findings
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Enter findings into computerized quality reporting database, review corrective actions, and assist with implementation of recommendations as approved
  • Serve as a technical expert on contract Quality Assurance matters
  • Present Quality Assurance training and familiarization to affected employees
  • Help determine audit scope and direction, develop audit programs, and perform walk through and test procedures to analyze key process and controls

Qualifications


EDUCATION

Required:

  • AA/AS or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:

  • BA/BS degree from a four-year college or university in a related field and/or combination of education and related experience.

Skills & Experience

Required:

  • International travel to austere and possibly hostile locales (Peru, Iraq)
  • Candidates must have a U.S. passport with at least 18 months remaining. The ability to pass a pre-employment physical, urinalysis and criminal background check. Proof of COVID 19 vaccine prior to start of employment
  • Position requires a U.S. Department of State Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT)
  • Minimum (5-7) years of Quality Assurance experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio)

Preferred:

  • Continuous Improvement certification(s) or training
  • Experience with USG contract support
  • Previous commercial or military aviation maintenance experience
  • Familiarization with ISO 9000 series and AS9110 quality standards
  • Quality Assurance Auditor certification(s) or training
