PPG has an opportunity for a Quality Assurance Inspector at our Grand Prairie, TX site. As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you will audit and support Quality Management Systems. You will also perform incoming and outgoing receiving inspections activities, establish quality standards, identify deviations, route items that need additional testing to the appropriate labs, and review returning item documentation for compliance. You will work onsite our Grand Prairie, TX location and report to the Quality Control Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform receiving inspection against packing slips and other required documentation.
• Accurately read and interpret specifications.
• Performs appropriate physical tests on products and materials.
• Operates laboratory equipment.
• Records data on manual or computerized systems.
• Performs final inspection and audit outgoing audits on finished goods.
• Interprets test results regarding product or customer specifications.
• Informs management regarding non- conforming material or products.
• Applies all laboratory safety procedures.
• Participates in 5 S activities.
• Complies with Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements at all times.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
• High school degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Must have at least one year of laboratory or shipping experience.
• Operate electronic, mechanical, or manual laboratory equipment requiring precise adjustment of controls for valid results.
• Perform accurate data entry operations.
• Will wear required PPE with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
