Quality Assurance Assistant - Histology

Responsibilities
Provides support with the implementation of the work unit's operational activities, which may include but not be limited to regulatory, licensure and accreditation, inspections, auditing, sample management, and quality and operational metrics. Supports quality management activities such as event management, supplier qualification, document and records management, reportable disease reporting, audit management, and education, and training programs. Participates in and supports work unit, divisional and departmental continuous improvement activities. Provides customer service activities for clients external to Mayo Clinic. Actively partner with team members by fostering an inclusive work environment and respecting others with different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
*Individuals hired to this position are required to complete 2 years in the role before being eligible to transfer to other positions within Mayo Clinic*
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and 2 years relevant experience or Associates' degree.
**This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program**

Working in DLMP or a laboratory quality or administrative assistant role preferred. A strong background in basic computer programs utilized in DLMP, such as Microsoft Office for graphing and process flow. Must be self-motivated, dependable, possess proven problem-solving skills, and be able to work independently on multiple tasks and complete assignments on time. Good human relations/communication/organizational skills are needed to interact with various levels of personnel.
