Additionally, our Technology Center for Hemostasis and Blood Gas Reagents is in Orangeburg, NY, and our Technology Center for Whole Blood Hemostasis is in San Diego, CA.
Job Summary:
The QC Inspector III is responsible for the inspection of components, assemblies and finished goods at incoming, in-process and final inspection process steps.
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
Essential Functions:
- Maintain compliance with the company’s quality management system through training and adherence to policies, procedures and work instructions.
- Review device history records to ensure they are complete and accurate
- Perform first article and validations/verification inspections as required
- Issue non-conformance reports
- Perform in-process inspections
- Support special projects as assigned by management
- Ensure materials meet specifications/requirements.
- Perform inspections of packaged product to ensure completion and accuracy
- Perform mechanical, electrical, and visual inspections

- Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs management (special projects)
- Research and Development (R&D)
- Quality Engineering

- Manufacturing Engineering
Qualifications
Minimum Knowledge & Experience Required for the Position:
- Minimum of five (5) years previous Quality Control (QC) and/or Quality Assurance (QA)experience required.
- High school diploma; additional technical training or schooling strongly preferred.
- Experience with electronic soldering techniques and visual printed circuit board inspection
- Experience performing First Article Inspection
- Experience with non-conformance reporting
- Previous experience/accountability recording inspection results
- Experience with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Previous experience working in a regulated medical device manufacturing plant
Skills & Capabilities:
- Ability to read mechanical detail drawings, printed circuit board drawings, and parts list
- Ability to work with gages for mechanical inspection including but not limited to micrometer, caliper, depth gage, force gage, gage blocks, dial-indicator, multi-meter, digital thermometer, optical comparator, and vision inspection system.
- Strong understanding of IPC 610 (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies)
- Knowledge of statistical acceptance sampling plans
- Understanding of Certificate of Conformance (C of C) and Certificate of Analysis (C of A) principles
- Knowledge of large Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) system.

Travel Requirements:
- Limited Travel.
The pay rate range for this role is $26.00 - $33.00 per hour Final compensation will ultimately depend on factors including education, relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, and business needs.
