Work closely with the field quality staff acting as their field representative ensuring construction understands and follows the QA/QC requirements

Inspection related certifications, such as NDE, preferred

The Quality Inspector must be a self-starter, be organized and have good interpersonal skills

Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.

Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS),

Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.

0-2 years' experience. Previous experience in Quality performing inspection. Prior medical device component inspection experience preferred.

Experience with optical measurement equipment, hand tools, gages, pressure and force gage testing.

Training in blueprint reading and experience with inspection sampling techniques.

Working knowledge of shop mathematics, and CATIA or blueprint reading and interpretation.

Perform conformity/first article inspections to ensure compliance with FAA approved procedures.

Ensure the proper use and storage of area tools and equipment.

Provide technical support to manufacturing personnel. .

Perform area inspections to ensure compliance with applicable standards and specifications. .

Participate in continuous improvement activities. .

Understand and apply Quality Management System (QMS) procedures

Verify that incoming goods and finished products meet all requirements as listed in the specifications

Good basic math skills (including percentages, fractions, and decimals) are required

6 months+ quality control experience preferred

Write inspection reports to capture information and submit to QC Supervisor/delegate employee

Enter Inspection reports in a timely manner into the QC Software

Previous experience as a Quality Control Inspector or in a similar role is preferred.

Knowledge of quality control principles and practices.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Livermore, CA 94550

Perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.

Completion of a high school diploma or GED and a minimum 1 year of experience is required.

3-5 years’ experience which includes Quality and/or Industry experience is preferred.

Performs inspection of various operations activities.

Identifies and reports non- conformance to known standards using various measuring and testing methods.

May be responsible for conducting the magnetic particle and penetrant testing of parts and initiating and processing non-conformance reports.

Assures that all products and processes represent the desired quality, safety, efficiency and reliability levels.

Support special projects as assigned by management

Maintain compliance with the company’s quality management system through training and adherence to policies, procedures and work instructions.

Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs management (special projects)

Minimum Knowledge & Experience Required for the Position:

Minimum of five (5) years previous Quality Control (QC) and/or Quality Assurance (QA)experience required.

Previous experience working in a regulated medical device manufacturing plant

A technical school graduate or have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management

Knowledge of construction practices and principles

Intermediate mathematical skills in order to perform field calculations

2+ years in construction administration/ pipe installation/inspection/CDOT

Ability to gather and understand technical data for purposes of generating technical reports

Proficient in MS Office Suites and MS Project

Have a working knowledge of the code(s) of construction being used for the project

High School Graduate or equivalent (GED) plus 3-5 years' experience in the Construction Trades

Inspection related certifications, such as CWI, preferred, in some cases required

Completion of a verifiable vocational or training program may substitute for one (1) year of experience.

Knowledgeable of dimensional tolerances in accordance with the AISC Code of Standard Practice and AWS Structural Welding Codes.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.

High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of related experience.

Read prints and inspect parts to ensure they are within given tolerances.

Preform daily maintenance and cleaning of all inspection equipment.

Ensure all paperwork is completed as necessary each job.

Ensure that all gages used are within calibration standards.

Apply markings and stickers to all products as needed.

Move parts around as needed from inspection area.

Conduct inspections in accordance with prints and/or inspection forms at specified points to ensure conforming products for primary parts and sub-assemblies.

Document all inspections, both conforming & non-conforming in specified locations/software.

Report all non-conforming products/inspections & place on hold if for disposition.

A strong background in stormwater management, hydraulic and hydrology design is a plus.

Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Self-motivated in workload and time management,

Multi-disciplinary working experience with geotechnical, utilities, environmental, roadways, environmental resources, traffic engineering, and construction preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint, Word Doc, Excel, PowerPoint, and have basic knowledge in Civil3D (AutoCADD).

Assist with conducting QA/QC project reviews on all site plans from the civil/site discipline from all offices throughout US.

Perform Inspections representing the QA Team and the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) Client

Confirm testing requirements and assure QA and QC test frequencies are being met

Support Material qualification process – Verify correct materials are used and documented

At least 5 years of experience in construction inspection for earthworks projects is preferred

Some knowledge of construction including material, methods, plans and specifications

Experience in Structures and/or Soil Cement

Experience in RV or related industry inspection

Inspecting and documenting manufacturing defects and codes

Communicate with Team Leaders necessary repairs

Ability to read and communicate well

Working knowledge and experience in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Knowledge of SAP and the ability to complete transactions for release

Proficient knowledge of geometrical tolerancing

Effective and clear written and verbal communication skills in English language.

Other duties and responsibilities in the Quality Department as assigned

Preferred 3-5 year of relevant experience in an FDA regulated environment
