Job Description

Position: QA Lead

Experience: 7 Yrs

Location: Chicago

Responsibilities:

  • Define new processes as required and collaborate with the software development teams to implement them
  • Performance management of the QA team and resources
  • Capacity planning for testing resources as it relates to delivery teams and roadmap work
  • Provide strategic technical leadership on key projects as assigned
  • Review testing processes in the project's agile software development environment to identify opportunities for improvement – specifically, develop a roadmap to implement a TDD approach with an eye toward reducing manual testing.
  • Define metrics for which the team will be measured; drive results based on those metrics
  • Use your experience and best practices to build out a QA strategy to align with the recent changes in the technology architecture and system landscape and implement the strategy including Automation Testing build out and implementation
  • Provide leadership, coaching, mentorship, career development, and guidance to the QA team on a day-to-day basis
  • Ensure a high-performing culture aligned with the strategic business vision

Requirements:

  • Software development within SDLC / Agile Processes
  • 3 years of leading team experience
  • 7 years’ experience in Quality Assurance or a similar area
  • Proficient in SQL
  • SPM / JIRA
  • Testing Methodologies - BDD
