Lead Automation Engineer Jobs

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader - Automation Engineer for a stable and continuously growing multinational company in the industrial sector. This position will be based in Chicago, USA, and will involve managing a team of 12 to 15 professionals.

As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of talented individuals, overseeing large national and international projects, and ensuring the successful implementation of automation systems. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a PLC Programmer, with at least 3 years of team management experience. We are looking for someone who is proactive, innovative, and eager to learn and grow within a multinational company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a point of contact for clients and provide exceptional customer service.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration.
• Provide training and support to Service Department and customer operators.
• Lead and manage a team of 12-15 professionals in automation engineering projects.
• Supervise commissioning of automatic machines and control systems.
• Monitor project progress and address issues as needed.
• Program and develop control system software using PLC, HMI, and SCADA.
• Oversee technical document preparation and control system specifications.
• Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork.
• Stay updated with industry trends and provide innovative solutions.

Requirements:

• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical wiring diagrams.
• Minimum CFGS (Higher Technician Certificate) in Automation, Robotics, Electronics or Computer Science.
• Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming (at least 4 years).
• Ability to program in C language.
• Availability for travel.
