Qualifications:

• Good understanding of the software development lifecycle and git.
• 2+ years experience in a QA analyst (or equivalent) role and either Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering, or a current ISTQB certification.
• Experience with writing automated tests — Playwright or another JavaScript-based testing framework is a huge plus.

• One of the following:

  • 2+ years experience in a QA analyst (or equivalent) role and either Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering, or a current ISTQB certification.

  • 3+ years experience in a QA analyst (or equivalent) role.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and articulate issues to the development team.

To make sure that we continue to help these people the best that we can, we’re looking for a QA Analyst to join the team and make sure we’re doing it right.

Job Overview:

As a a QA Analyst, you’re in a unique position. Your role is the only manual-automation hybrid in the company, and you interface between the product/development teams and the support teams. You replicate and write up unexpected behaviors within the application, manually verify our weekly releases before and after deployment (on Staging, and Production respectively), and you write automated tests to reduce future manual test cases.

Responsibilities:

• On a monthly basis, work with development to verify our billing run.
• Contribute new automated tests to our suite to reduce the manual effort required for regression testing.
• On a weekly basis, test and confirm the upcoming release in our staging environment, ensuring no regressions.
• On a weekly basis, validate that the previous release is correct on production.
• Work with the product and development teams to understand and test new milestone improvements and ensure they are complete and correct.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in software testing to incorporate best practices into our testing processes.
• Replicate and log (in Github) any unexpected behaviors reported by the customer support teams.
