Required Education and Experience

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in an IT environment, required.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum and waterfall methodologies, preferred.
  • Experience with scrum/project management tools like Jira, Rally, etc., preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience with QA test practices, constructing test cases and plans, required.
  • 2+ years IT experience in a Supply Chain environment, preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or two years relevant experience, required.
  • Experience executing and coordinating integration, system, regression, and user-acceptance testing, required.
  • Relevant certifications (Certified Tester – Foundation Level), preferred.
  • Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) experience, required.

The Application Test Analyst will act as a validation and quality assurance professional across the different stages of the Testing lifecycle: develop, design, and deploy test scripts and cases of complex modules, help set up the test environment and contribute to the requirements documentation and test design for different types of testing. The job responsibilities include testing all aspects of the application life cycle including but not limited to system, performance, regression, and integration.


  • Independently follows up with design/development resources regarding defects
  • Document and evaluate test results and defects, track and manage defects and work with Development team and business to troubleshoot issues
  • Develop and implement both automated and manual testing procedures, including defining test plans to validate solution development
  • Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test scenarios, test cases and test scripts
  • Conduct first line quality assurance activities, confirm products are ready for clients, and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Assist the Software Development Engineer in Test in building and maintaining a stable and reliable automation infrastructure by providing functional and complete manual tests to be included in automated testing and in identifying candidates for automation tests
  • Clearly articulates verbally and in writing the specifics around defects
  • Actively participates in Sprint planning sessions to create stories with robust acceptance criteria while helping identify missing or incomplete requirements
  • Analyze different aspects of product quality, such as functionality, usability, performance, security, scalability, and so on
  • Actively participates in design/technical reviews to identify missing, incomplete, or inaccurate design assumptions or design choices.
  • Monitors and updates defect reports as needed to ensure timely problem resolution
  • Partner with business analysts and project managers to ensure requirements are documented, understood, covered by tests and accurately tested
  • Track and report on established metrics and KPIs for assigned projects
  • May be required to create basic script automation through point-and-click script recording and execution
  • Establish and maintain traceability of requirements through test plans and cases
  • Support holistic testing efforts for multiple projects and software releases, including integration, system, regression, performance, and user-acceptance testing.
  • Provide testing estimates for assigned work
  • Work alongside project stakeholders to validate captured requirements and ensure business problems are correctly articulated, and proposed solutions are well understood and scoped
  • Identify best practices for Software QA; partner with developers on ensure code quality and testability, and leverage resources inside (and when needed outside) the company to augment the QA work done within the department

Responsibilities

  • Deep and broad understanding of EDI, integration, and other electronic commerce industries

  • Sound technical knowledge of OTM functional Workflows
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to ensure customers/partners know what to expect and are kept informed
  • Ability to perform code reviews and design reviews
  • Deep and broad understanding of logistics supply chain marketplace
  • Able to meet aggressive deadlines efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to work irregular hours or schedules to accommodate project needs and to perform assigned duties in an efficient manner
  • Ability to respond quickly to change
  • Ability to organize people or tasks, to develop realistic actions plans while being sensitive to time constraints
