Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a Video QA Analyst - Tech Ops (1217869) to join our Client's team.


Your Day-to-Day:

  • Writing bugs and verifying fixes from the Video Operations Engineering and Developers team.
  • Actively participating in team meetings, sprint planning, and or reviews.
  • Testing various streams and other video-related projects on multiple platforms
  • Being agile and shifting priorities when instructed.
  • Assist other teams in testing VOD assets and live events when applicable across multi-platforms.
  • Ensuring metadata, artwork, deep linking, schedules and areas of where the event will be present are correct and in working order.
  • Working with leads and managers on testing new features and Technology Tools.

Key Projects:

  • Various Television and Movie releases from Nickelodeon, BET, CBS, MTV, VH1, Comedy Central, Smithsonian, Paramount Plus exclusives, and Showtime content.
  • New Technology/ Tools & Feature Releases
  • High Profile Events like VMAs, trending shows, NFL games and the Super Bowl coverage.
  • Backend video infrastructure changes
  • HD, 4K, HDR, Dolby Vision, Surround Sound, and Dolby Atmos testing

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's level degree or equivalent experience
  • Very high attention to detail, and collaborative team player that can demonstrate initiative.
  • 2+ years of video streaming QA experience. Preferably VOD and Live TV.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects with a positive attitude and easily retain information.
  • Highly experienced with JIRA or other bug ticketing software
  • Knowledgeable of network traffic software such as Charles and Conviva is a plus
  • Active experience with Agile scrum methodology is a plus
  • Desire to learn the backend process of video delivery
