In addition to base compensation, the Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager is eligible for a 10% Target Bonus.

What the Ideal Candidate will do:
T*he Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager* will oversee and develop the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain process, procurement, transport, and storage of goods for company operations.

• Oversees all activities related to procurement of a commodity, from intent to purchase through delivery of commodity. Delegates procurement requests as appropriate.
• Oversees and reviews contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for legal correctness, price, and acceptability of items to specifications.
• Prepares and issues purchase orders and change notices to vendors.
• Prepares instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures.
• Selects carriers for transportation and negotiate rates and contracts with carriers.
• Negotiates or supervises the negotiation of complex requests for equipment, supplies, and services from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Recruits and maintains suppliers that provide high quality products and services at a better price while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct.
• Coordinates inventory management activities, customs documentation, distribution management, invoice development
• Complies with all federal, state and local legal requirements.
• Plans, organizes, directs, and controls activities related to the procurement function for all locations of the company.

What We Look For:

• Self-motivation.
• Strong PC and software skills (Microsoft office, Outlook, Internet Explorer, etc.)
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline preferred.
• Experience in organization transformation, team leadership, and team development.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of SAP or ERP/MRP system.
• 5+ years’ experience in purchasing and supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
