Job Details

We are seeking a Manufacturing Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing operations management, with a focus on lean manufacturing principles. You will be responsible for overseeing our manufacturing processes, ensuring that they are efficient, cost-effective, and that they meet the highest standards of quality. Your expertise in blueprint reading, production planning, and SolidWorks CAD system will be crucial to your role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain production reports.
• Manage the sheet metal and CNC machine shop, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate production.
• Analyze production and quality control to detect and correct problems.
• Determine and implement improvements to the production process.
• Develop and implement lean manufacturing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of AS9100, Rev D. standards and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping.
• Use SolidWorks CAD system and Master Cam to design and modify manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Monitor and control production costs.
• Oversee and manage all manufacturing operations, ensuring that production schedules are met and quality standards are upheld.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing management role.
• Excellent understanding of production planning and quality control principles.
• Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and AS9100, Rev D. standards.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team.
• Proven track record in improving production and efficiency.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and MasterCam.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
• Proven experience in managing sheet metal and CNC machine shops.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
