Job Duties
The Chesapeake Health Department seeks an enthusiastic registered nurse to join our outpatient clinic team.

Minimum Qualifications
- Requires RN licensure as an RN in Virginia or compact state. If a new graduate, must
regulations governing the practice of nursing.
- Communicates verbally and in writing, to analyze problems, situations and
- Skills in physical examination, health assessment, and interviewing and
- Ability to function independently, prioritize and organize work, solve

- Knowledge of public health concepts, principles of public health nursing,

- May travel and some weekend and/or evening hours may be required
- Must be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR
- Must maintain a valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Additional study in the area
- BSN preferred
- Experience in a public health setting or one related to disease prevention and
- Experience working in a public health or women's health setting with skills on physical examination, health assessment, interviewing and counseling.
- Bi-lingual with proficiency in Spanish
