Who You Are:

Proofreader Print:

• The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a reliable sense of organization and the ability to multitask. You’ll work primarily with the Account, Creative and Production teams, acting as a trustworthy quality assurance resource responsible for proofreading materials at every stage of production, including preliminary copy draft, design/layout and final printer proof stages, for collateral and on-screen documents.
• In addition to reading for typographical errors and text variance from the client-approved copy, you’ll need to ensure the documents reflect Standard English grammar and adhere to individual client style and branding guidelines, as well as analyze many variables and choose the most effective course of action for the organization at any given time based on established guidelines.
• Familiarity with The Chicago Manual of Style and The Associated Press Stylebook is necessary.

Proofreader QA:

• You’ll work with the Account, Creative and Development teams, acting as a reliable quality assurance (QA) resource responsible for reviewing digital projects, such as emails and landing pages, at the development stage of production. Responsibilities include reviewing for text variances from client-approved content and ensuring projects reflect Standard English grammar and adhere to individual client style and branding guidelines.
• In addition, you’ll check alt and title tags in HTML and confirm links are active and direct to the correct location. You’ll also need to conduct QA checks for email/website platform testing using web-driven tools, such as Email on Acid.
• In addition to having strong attention to detail and organization, the ideal candidate will have at least 2–3 years of testing web and/or mobile content and should have a thorough understanding of standard QA strategies and techniques, as well as knowledge of performance testing tools and best practices.
