Job Summary:

Responsible for cost estimating in the BAS Business Unit which includes, construction, retrofits, and owner direct proposals within Industrial and commercial industries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of HVAC Controls; preferably Automated Logic Controls and/or Distech.
• Cost estimating of control systems for commercial, industrial HVAC systems
• Communication of workload and encumbrances to construction sales department
• Preparation of documents for subcontractor pricing, as needed
• Construction Industry knowledge
• Management of personal workload to meet deadlines
• Coordination with other contractors and subcontractors, as needed
• Escalate issues on projects in a timely manner
• Design/build budgeting
• Attend BAS project meetings as required
• Technical resource for internal and external customers

Qualifications:

• Flexible and willing to roll up sleeves, as required
• Strong analytical and leadership skills
• Ability to problem solve
• 5+ years’ experience developing Proposals and estimating within Building Automation Systems.
• Excellent customer relations skills
• Demonstrated time management skills, resulting in the ability to manage multiple client relationships and prioritize time and resources accordingly
• Attention to detail

• Excellent oral/written communication skills
• Excellent organization
• Be able to multi-task
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• In-depth understanding and "hands on" experience with any or all of the following systems - HVAC, electrical, building automation/controls, boilers, air conditioning and/or chillers
• Proficient on MS Office Suite
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred or equivalent experience within the field of engineering will be considered.
