About this role:

Devoted Health is looking for a full-time proofreader to join our growing marketing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for proofreading our prospect and member-facing marketing materials,

including government-regulated materials, for clarity and accuracy. That means you’ll be reviewing detailed plan benefit information as well as plain-language marketing materials against government- issued models and internal sources of truth to confirm alignment and compliance. You’ll also be expected to line edit prospect and member-facing materials for grammatical accuracy, and assist on other projects as needed.

The ideal candidate has experience in healthcare copyediting or proofreading, or similar experience proofreading complex legal or financial documents. Medicare marketing experience is a plus. They’re a self-starter who’s comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can seamlessly partner with stakeholders, including writers, designers, marketing managers, and compliance/legal teams.

Responsibilities will include:

• Line edit and proofread marketing materials, checking for formatting inconsistencies, grammatical accuracy, and spelling errors
• Confirm that health plan information in marketing materials matches source of truth documentation to verify benefit accuracy
• Ensure correct disclaimer language as required in applicable regulatory guidance is included appropriately in all marketing materials
• Review regulatory plan materials against Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) model documents for alignment

Attributes to success:

• Self-starter comfortable working independently and with a team
• Extremely detail-oriented
• Strong command of English grammar

Desired skills and experience:

• 2-4 years of copyediting experience across different marketing channels
• Experience using a style guide (house or AP Stylebook preferred)
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Healthcare / plan experience desired; Medicare Advantage experience a strong plus
• Spanish proofreading/copyediting experience a plus
• Experience with Google Drive, Jira, Monday.com, and Slack
