About This Position

Manage the execution of design, manufacturing, and installation thru equipment maturation to deliver highly reliable, standardized, and cost competitive processes, equipment, and tooling that are easy to use, maintain, and ensures manufacturing success in achieving benchmark characteristics.

Responsibilities Include

• Manage documentation for delivery to customer
• Statement of Work (SOW), including acceptance criteria, for Outside Supplier
• Maintain project budget by tracking and managing costs as well as understanding gaps
• Implement spec change control process: proposal, negotiation, impact, decision, execution
• Manage the spec for spec achievement (standards and testing) and to prevent scope creep
• Set a clear, realistic schedule. Utilize to track and manage tasks, milestones, deliverables, risks, manpower needs and timing, and pending items
• Communicate with project team and stakeholders: lead project meetings, report project status, feed results summary to Project Leader to support evaluations

Who We Are Seeking

Required Education:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, 2-year Engineering degree with related experience, or applicable experience in a manufacturing equipment technical environment

Required Experience

• 5 years of experience in project management, equipment design, equipment manufacturing, or production technical/logistics/management

Desired Skills

• Extensive category specific technical knowledge (ex. WE, AF, PA, PU)
• Excellent technical communication skills (both written and oral)
• Background in automated equipment

Additional Position Factors

• 80% Office environment
• 20% Manufacturing floor – manage project at the site (any Honda facility)
• Must be willing to travel locally, regional, and internationally as required on a project basis (to Honda facilities or external equipment suppliers).
