About The Company

Our Strategic Accounts Division handles large, often multi-million-dollar, enterprise-level customers supporting critical infrastructure, health care, and higher education. Job Summary

The Project Manager will manage multiple large, strategic projects in the design and installation of commercial electronic security systems, including new construction. The Project Manager is responsible for the overall manage and success of commercial installation projects, including engineering/engineering support, requisitioning parts, managing project lifecycles, planning job timelines, forecasting labor needs, verifying job accuracy, performing job site walkthroughs, and problem resolution. The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring safety, quality, cost containment, efficiency, and effectiveness of jobs from conception to completion. The Project Manager is responsible for promoting a superior customer experience.

• Participate in project and construction meetings to review project statuses and deliverables.
• Responsible for making sure that the right resources are identified and in the right places at the right times at all times throughout the project lifecycle, which includes all labor and materials necessary to complete jobs.
• Review job costs throughout project lifecycle to ensure project remains within budget.
• Identify and set up project timelines and schedule resources accordingly.
• Responsible for identifying discrepancies within project scope, anticipating problems, addressing concerns of labor resources and/or customers, finding solutions to problems, and resolving discrepancies.
• Communicate effectively with all throughout project lifecycle.
• Perform system design and work closely with customers, labor resources, and engineering to ensure that system is properly designed, installed, and functions appropriately.
• Responsible for quality assurance of system design and final product.
• Maintain thorough project notes and documentation.
• Responsible for tracking project deliverables throughout the project lifecycle
• Visit jobsites regularly to review project statuses, installation work completed, and programming and testing statuses.

Qualifications:

• Applicant must pass a drug test.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Project Manager
• Applicant must be able to obtain an Illinois PERC Card, required for all security industry personnel.
• Applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, as well as having effective time management, prioritization, resource management, and allocation skills.
• Strong work ethic and ability to apply security and confidentiality measures
• The ideal candidate will have or will be able to develop a strong understanding of security system (predominantly access control, cameras/video surveillance) design and installation, which includes an understanding of the capabilities and limitations of systems, features, components, and related software and hardware.
• Skilled in organization, planning, tracking, thoroughness, attention to detail
• Accurate and driven to produce quality results.
• Knowledge and understanding of low voltage, electronics, networks, electrical (equipment, parts, supplies, tools, wiring, regulations, codes).
• Customer oriented.
• Effective communication skills/methods for a diverse range of stakeholders.
