Job Description

Summary: The Project Manager is to plan, execute, and deliver projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives, oversee quality control and be responsible for invoicing and managing of accounts receivable.


Duties and Responsibilities include the following:1. Responsible for billing and invoicing the project and tracking and managing client’s accounts receivable working with accounting to be paid by contract terms2. Accountable for overall project performance, including financial performance and client satisfaction3. Be actively involved in Business Development opportunities and look for future growth opportunities within client interactions4. Acquire resources for project team, meet project objectives, and timeline for completion5. Sets and conducts kickoff and closeout meetings6. Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments7. Define project objectives and timeline for completion and effectively communicate them to involved parties throughout project8. Coordination with clients and agencies having jurisdiction over the project9. Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project as a Client Contact10. Prepare proposals to provide professional services for individual projects or programs including scope, schedule, fee budget, as well as fee negotiations, change order preparation and coordinate other contract negotiations with senior leadership.11. Monitor progress and take action when team performance deviates from established plan12. Apply knowledge and expertise acquired through progressive experience to resolve crucial issues and/or unique conditions13. Track project milestones and communicate them to involved parties throughout project14. Responsible for coordinating with outside consultants and/or other internal service lines for procurement of services (surveys, geotechnical and environmental reports, traffic studies, MEP, structural engineering, civil, fire protection, acoustics, landscape design, etc.)15. Keep informed of new methods and developments affecting the organization, and recommend new practices or changes in execution of projects16. Lead project meetings and make presentations to communicate plant o team and clients17. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel18. React to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently19. Strong understanding of the design and construction process as well as the entitlement process20.
