TRC is seeking a Remote Project Manager, Compliance with at least 5 years of experience in working with commercial fleet operators and OEMs to comply with California mobile source regulations.

In these efforts, you will not be alone. The Programs Department is the nation's number one grant writing and market development team. Because CARB regulations are intricately interrelated to these areas of expertise, we have been involved with the regulations since they were initially conceived in 2000. In addition to assisting our clients to stay ahead of the regulations in the most cost-effective manner, we are often sought out to help fleets that have run into problems trying to comply with the complex regulations. This new role will be to take leadership over the existing work and to help bring this crucial expertise to other struggling fleets that in many cases don't even know that the regulations exist until the auditor shows up at their facility.

The ideal candidate for this role should be familiar with the suite of CARB regulations (T B, T B Hired Fleets, ACT, SWCV, ICT, PSIP, TRU, LSI, PERP, SB1, etc.) as well as the EPA and ARB audit processes. The right candidate is not only well-versed in these regulations, but also has a healthy respect for their complexity and the need to double check the requirements and triple check all analysis.

Responsibilities

• Managing large projects to an acceptable level of risk by balancing scope, time, cost and quality to ensure effective delivery of regulatory changes enabling the GNA and it's clients to continuously adhere to regulatory expectations
• Monitoring and reviewing industry, regulatory and legislative changes and following up with appropriate areas to ensure agreed changes are implemented into company processes
• Leading and participating with the different regulatory projects governances and providing local, industry feedback when required
• Collaboration with management regarding development/investment in new services and marketing of services
• Regular reporting to management
• Developing and maintaining various compliance reporting
• Ensuring that all relevant processes are followed on projects

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree (preferred) in Business, Engineering, Education, Computer Science, Accounting, Project Management, Finance, Management, MBA, Technical
• Knowledge or familiarity with compliance and regulatory environments
• Proactive nature, motivated and energetic
• Regulatory compliance reporting
• Demonstrated high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Solid knowledge of one or multiple compliance functions and processes; compliance reporting, compliance risk management, compliance testing.
• Providing efficient and cost-effective results on both client and company projects
• Flexibility - quickly adapt to changing needs of business.

Work Location

This position will require the successful candidate to work in Santa Monica, CA with a hybrid remote work schedule available at the Manager's discretion.
