As we expand our operations, we are seeking a talented Construction Project Manager to join our team in Columbus, Ohio.

We are looking for a skilled Construction Project Manager with extensive experience in managing large Electrical Projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project execution, from initial planning and budgeting to final completion and client handover. As a Construction Project Manager, you will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams, to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Project Planning and Coordination:
  • Review and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and favorable terms.
  • Budgeting and Cost Management:
  • Monitor project expenses, track variances, and implement corrective measures to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to establish project goals, scope, and specifications.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resources allocation.
  • Procure necessary permits and approvals.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for each project phase.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
  • Supervise and motivate project teams, including subcontractors and internal staff, to achieve project objectives.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members, ensuring a clear understanding of roles, responsibilities, and project milestones.
  • Resolve conflicts and mitigate risks to maintain a productive work environment.
Project Execution and Quality Control:
  • Oversee the construction process, ensuring adherence to project schedules and specifications.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality control and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement appropriate solutions.
Client Relationship Management:
  • Identify opportunities for additional work or future collaborations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, providing regular updates, and managing expectations.
  • Foster strong client relationships by delivering projects that meet or exceed their expectations.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and with high-quality standards.
  • Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager, specifically in overseeing large commercial and industrial projects. ($500K – $40M)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience with design-build, hard bid, and negotiating projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools - Procore, Accubid and Microsoft Office programs preferred.
