Job Description
KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for "Process Engineer".


Purpose of Position:


Provide ongoing technical support for production, including troubleshooting of product builds, investigations and corrective action plans.


Essential Duties and/or Functions:


  • Utilize statistical techniques for monitoring and improvement manufacturing processes
  • Have awareness of intellectual property on processes and understanding of ITAR/Export Control Compliance
  • Plan and implement assigned engineering projects including defining the project scope, project activities, equipment specification, contractor requirements, as well as plant and customer requirements
  • Participate in the implementation of change for future direction
  • Follow and promote corporate business conduct, safety, health and environmental policies and practices, including Engineering guidelines, standards and specifications
  • Lead and/or support the implementation of new manufacturing technologies and new products at the site, as assigned.
  • Provide reports/updates on assigned projects
  • Actively participate in and lead project planning efforts
  • Lead cross-functional teams through Continuous Improvement efforts and support lean process activities
  • Provide leadership to implement innovative applications and advance technologies
  • Initiate, identify, recommend, and oversee programs in the manufacturing area of responsibility to improve product cost, service and quality while ensuring process safety and health/environmental impact
  • Develop and maintain a schedule and budget for assigned engineering projects
  • Escalate and participate in resolution of plant safety, OSHA, and environmental concerns following EHS guidelines
  • Identify project staffing requirements and coordinate staffing with supporting functional managers/supervisors, as required
  • Negotiate project recommendations and implementation with business partners and relevant stakeholders
  • Perform and guide technical activities resulting from approved self-initiated or assigned manufacturing assignments


Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years of experience in or directly supporting manufacturing
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent work experience


Preferred Skills and/or Experiences:
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate use of SAP
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite of tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Lean Six Sigma Black belt or ability to demonstrate strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma concepts
  • Experience scaling up new products into manufacturing\
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
