Aurigo performs the entire configuration, implementation, and delivery of its enterprise software solutions. These are multimillion dollar enterprise projects typically span six months to two years.
About the role:
Aurigo is experiencing significant growth. As we expand our client base, we need to scale oversight on our largest deals. The Project Director will report to VP Professional Services serving as the VPs representative on one or more large enterprise SaaS implementations. You’ll drive the success of those engagements by managing key customer stakeholder relationships, providing guidance for project teams, and ensuring that Aurigo executive leadership is well informed and is engaged as necessary. You’ll work to understand our customers’ needs and ensure that the project resources are best allocated to meet those goals.
This is a role for someone who sees around corners. You identify the issues before everyone else, and you put the right strategies into action to mitigate them. You gather and evaluate inputs quickly, solving what you can and escalating effectively when you can’t.

What you’ll do:
- Generate executive briefings on project status
- Manage customer contracts, ensuring that Aurigo meets our obligations
- Serve as the initial point of contact for escalations from customer and Aurigo project management team to ensure project success and customer delight
- Manage key customer stakeholders and engage in steering committee meetings
- Oversee 1 or more large enterprise software implementation projects
- Drive scope management decisions and collaborate with Account Management on the creation of change requests
- Intervene directly to correct course on projects in response to risks, issues, or deviations in KPIs
- Manage program P&L and work with Project Managers and Professional Services leadership to appropriately allocate resources to ensure profitability
- Manage vendor relationships related to the program including invoicing and vendor performance management
- Potentially serve as Program Manager for lighthouse deals
Skills and Experience:
- Excellent problem solver who can cut through noise to identify root cause of issues and implement corrective actions
- Experience implementing SaaS software; leading subject matter experts, project managers and management throughout the adoption process
- Comfortable working with distributed teams
- Experience managing contracts/SOWs especially with Government clients
- Superb executive-level written and oral communication skills
- Strong customer management and negotiation skills
- Forward-thinking to identify contingency plans and present thorough “what-if” analysis to executive leadership
- Ability to navigate complex executive management structures to maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers
- Background in transportation system construction, CIP Planning, Portfolio and Project Management, Construction Management or Asset Management is a plus
- Experience as the main customer contact throughout the software project lifecycle
- Experience in Project, Program, or Engagement Management roles managing large enterprise SaaS implementations exceeding $5M in services.
- Commitment to data-driven decisions
- 10+ years’ experience in progressively-leveraged IT consulting roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT or Business
This is ideally a hybrid role located in Austin, TX but full remote candidates will be considered.
