Job Description

Terms of Employment

  • This is a hybrid position - three days remote and two days onsite weekly - with Wednesday mandatory in office. Therefore, local candidates are required.
  • W2 Contract, 12 to 24 Months


Overview

The Utility Project Coordinator is responsible for being a primary point of contact for Senior Project Managers. The department size is roughly 10 members, who are responsible for supporting project teams of 4 to 6 individuals. The Utility Project Coordinator would support underground and overhead electric utility projects. Responsibilities include:

  • Interfaces effectively forming good working relationships with team members, Senior Project Managers, internal interfacing organizations and contract service providers as applicable.
  • Supports overall projects with the Senior Project Managers.
  • Interfaces with external and internal stakeholders to coordinate project requirements.
  • Ensures project costs, schedule, scope, and risks are managed, including the development of recovery plans, to stay within approved limits schedule and spending.
  • Identifies and obtains project team resources with the assistance of Project Managers


Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of project management experience in the utility, engineering, construction, or telecommunications industries.

  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office - namely Excel.
  • Demonstrated proficiency managing projects - to include management of project financials/costs, schedule, scope, and risks.
  • Ability to interface with Senior Project Managers and field personnel.


Preferred Skills & Experience

Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
