Job Description
Our partner is looking for a Project Account Manager in Los Angeles, CA. The Project Account Manager will be responsible for managing assigned accounts and projects from account management to project completion. The candidate will be expected to ensure customer satisfaction, cost-effectiveness, and timely completion of projects within the prescribed budget.
Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate changes to scope of work and obtain approved change orders as needed.
  • Work with the accounting department to provide prompt and courteous follow-up and investigations of delinquent accounts as necessary.
  • Develop accurate price quotations within guidelines for margins.
  • Handle accounts in smaller scope, scale, and complexity than Strategic Account Executives.
  • Promote and sell design, installation, project management, and other services as appropriate.
  • Coordinate project plan(s) and installation schedule(s).
  • Inspect quality of workmanship and ensure conformance to installation plans and installation standards.
  • Create and manage strong relationships with clients, and maintain the highest standard of customer satisfaction.
  • Provide detailed work plans that provide loading requirements per the installation schedule, material handling, logistical plans, loading requirements & identification of potential issues & problem areas.
  • Work with team members to ensure that the job is completed per the quote.
  • Review all orders prior to order entry to determine any special instructions to the manufacturer.
  • Conduct post-occupancy evaluation / punch list walk-through ensuring timely resolution of any identified issues or problems.
  • Provide prompt and effective follow-up on new corporate projects specified by clients or new accounts/projects from sales.
  • Project manage all aspects of the projects for assigned accounts, or work with assigned project manager(s) as required.
  • Plan and specify all aspects of the sales projects on assigned accounts, or work with the assigned design team as required.
  • Maintain a current working knowledge of developments in the contract furniture industry and related products, applications, and design concepts.
  • Monitor actual labor time expended on projects quoted to ensure up-to-date knowledge of time requirements for various installation conditions and products.
  • Inform assigned clients on all new product and ergonomic issues and products.
  • Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
  • Devote time to personal and professional development through a variety of continuing education sources and appropriate business and professional associations.

  • Assume ownership of the entire sales process, from initial client contact through final punch list.
  • Perform pre-installation site inspections as required.
  • Oversee receiving and installation phases of the project.
Requirements
  • Two to four years AutoCAD drafting experience is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of furniture systems and electrical/cabling issues is essential.
  • Previous project-related supervisory
  • Three to five years related experience and/or training (such as project administration or project management or interior design) may be substituted for some experience or formal education requirements.
  • General understanding of building systems and building codes essential.
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university, architectural or interior design school.
